Memory/ CPU possible overclock / underclock

At the minute my X2 3800+ is running at 2.8ghz and the memory is at 3-4-4-8.

Its 1T 280fsb, 1.400V DRAM at 1.6v

Is there anything I can do to try and get either my CPU to 3ghz or would it be worth setting it to 2.6 / 2.7ghz and trying the memory at 2-3-3-7 or something like that.

That is a major overclock from 2ghz to 2.8ghz - be happy

yeah its good OC but those mem timings are really tight, you could loosen the timings out say 5-5-5-15 and set command rate to 2N, see if this allows you to push the CPU further, then when you get to the limit of CPU tighten them back up as much as it will allow

Thanks. How do i set 5-5-5-15? I set to auto - 4.5 (4.5 was highest) -5-15-5-7 on the screen below and my pc wont start up, i then needed to take the cmos chip out. (memory and cpu screen below)
