Everest or SiSoftware Sandra.

And things like Super-Pi are good for testing too.

memtest86 ( found on the linux ubuntu OS installer) can be used during boot stage so doesnt matter if you have windows installed it happens before that gets loaded up.

it have memtest86+ V1.7 and memtest86 V.3.3and a lot more tests for all the hardware in your PC
it´s really a great tool for anione who works with pc´s

"When RAM goes bad....." Wrote it for my mate's blog.

memtest86+ is the best and most rigorous method, bootable from Ubuntu derived Linux "Live CD" .iso 's, though MemTest is good for initial OC testing from windows.

As for SPEED of mem, SiSoft Sandra is good.
