I intend to run my e6420 at 3ghz (375*8) when I get it next week.. I`m using Crucial PC5300C5 which is supposed to overclock to 375 (750mhz) OK.

My question is what memory divider do I need to set to get - is it 1:1 or 2:1 or something else. Thanks I don't quite understand how the divider works.

Obviously I will be overclocking the memory from 333 > 375 or if you like 667 > 750 so I guess that it is 1:1 right ie CPU at 375 memory at 375 (750mhz). Or have I got the wrong end of the stick?

Set the System Memory Multiplier to 2.0; which is the lowest it will go; this will then set the memory at 375 x 2.0 = 750. Don't forget if you want to change the timings hit ctrl and F1 in main BIOS screen to active extra options in MIT screen.

Hope this helps
