memory errors

Ive run memtest for 50 minutes and it picked up 2003 errors on test 7 does this definatly meen that one of the memory sticks or both are faulty or is there anything else that could be causing the issue :confused:

System has updated bios and latest drivers as its a new build.Memory as below in signature.

Upped the voltage but still getting errors in memtest.
If i take one stick out shall i run memtest see how it goes then run memtest on the other stick?

Ive also been told to try switching of hyperthreading but i can find it in the BIOS screen.

Where do i find the RMA number if i need to send it back? is it the number beneath the barcode I.E MY-058-GL :confused:

I been trying over the last 3 days to sort out my new rig but i cant install BF2 because i get MD5 ERROR (yes its a legal copy) so i ran memtest and after 2 hours i got 6424 errors but i really want to make sure that its nothing to do with the bios but can anyone tell me if anything could be at fault other than the ram? ive heard MD5 error could a be a IRQ conflict.
Iam using The purple sata plug on the DS3 ive got F7 BIOS install and i havent install RAID drivers or anything during or after XP setup as i only have 1 hardrive.
I just want to be sure that its the ram before i have the expense of sending back to OC and there not faulty ram sticks

Get this i put the sticks in one at a time and ran them for 90 minutes and they passed WTF :confused:

how come iam getting errors when there both installed.
I put them in the same coloured slots so they run DDR2 i just dont get it.
Ive got screenshots of CPU-Z but i dont know how to get them on the forum.

Reset CMOS by taking the battery out and didnt change anything in the BIOS and the errors came sooner and i got about 44000 in 30 minutes.
It must be BIOS related or maybe the other RAM slot is damaged because i tested the sticks one at a time and they were fine.

Ran memtest for and hour on the other slot with one stick and it was fine :confused:

iam baffled completly.
It must be bios related i cant think of anything else.
What could be a good idea is for someone with a similiar setup to give me there bios setup for me to try if theres any body that would like to step forward i would be gratefull.

Thanks very much for the info.
I will try and run them in slot 2 & 4 if they fail i will try one stick at a time and go through every slot.
First thing will be to try them single channel but i did have this to start of with whoops

before i realised DDR2 has to be in the same coloured slots.
Will get on it now.

Just running one stick in slot 2 and ive just noticed something on the BIOS boot on the second black screen its says DDR2 Banks 2,3 ive only got one stick in slot 2 at the moment because iam testing every slot so why does it say this. :confused:

O.K fair enough

but hindsight is a wonderfull thing but i still trawled through the forums and read to update the BIOS first because there were known issue with lower BIOS versions and certain types of RAM.
So iam not quite a stupid noob although i do feel a bit stupid for not running memtest a lot earlier but iam sure that you can appreciate not everyone works in the computer world or is on there 10th build.
But i shall take note of your advice and run Memtest before i install windows on future builds
