Hey guys,
Recently my PC crashed with the BSOD. On the 4th attempt the PC booted up.
The error was memory related according to the message.
I ran memtest86 for an hour and it came up with 14 errors. I stopped the test and let it boot up normally.
I played COD for 2 hours and left it running memtest86 all night. This morning i noticed 4 errors on the screen. The test was about 80% complete.
The memory i have is: Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
Which was part of an overclocked bundle:
- CPU: Intel Core i3 2.93GHz @ 4.00GHz
- Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H55M-UD2H (Socket 1156) DDR3 Motherboard
- RAM: Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
- Cooler: Akasa AK-967 V2 Nero Direct Contact Heatpipe CPU Cooler
Is there any other software i can test the ram with or should i just RMA the ram?
Thanks.
