Memory experts in here please

Right chaps
my Asus PW5 deluxe mobo is aging but I think I will get another 12 months out of it
I only have 2 x 1gb memory sticks in it
Team Xtreme 6400 800mhz cl-4-4-4--10

and am finding that photoshop is really struggling with not enough ram

I no longer overclock but would like to know will different brand ram work with the Team Xtreme 6400 sticks??

and I presume the answer is yes

I would be most grateful for some ideas of good value ram that should work well with it looking for 2x 2gb

I have two spare slots for the extra ram
running 64bt vista

At this price (almost half price compared to the rest of the web) 2 sets of this would be better value than mixing 6400 with other brands, speeds and latencies. I'm not saying its impossible but there are also different voltages to consider between brands.

If you do upgrade and sell your current ram check if its using D9 chips, if so you may be able to sell them for a bit more.
