I understand that 2" is ideal for these, just wondering will I see/benefit much from one that costs £50 odd to one that costs around £100-120.

I see one or two that have some climate thing so it stays cooler in the summer, is that worth extra?

Sounds like a load of claptrap to me..

If you get hot in bed in the summer, you get hot.. If not then you don't I don't see what a matress has to do with it...

They're not very air permeable - it's a very real problem (although I'm not sure with the new climate things) - you can get very hot

I'm looking at getting one myself as i have a bad shoulder. I'm unsure aswell but my incline would be there not that dissimiliar.

I bought a one inch memory foam topper to stick on my aging mattress and even at that side the difference is massive - and I made £28 for it.

We just got a mermory foam mattress and I'm still unsure as to the benefit I find it a lot harder to fall asleep on it but it does feel more comfortable; odd I know but probably takes time to get used too.

We ordered one and got it last week. I much prefer it over the other 100% sprung mattress.

I do think it is part psychological anyways, a bit of a placebo effect.

Yeah i just bought a full memory foam mattress and it took me some time to get used to it, even though it is far more comfy than my old spring one.

I have one of these on my poor university mattress. It makes a massive difference, but you do get hotter. I'm not sure if there's that much benefit if you have a decent mattress in the first place.
