Memory for a notebook

Your laptop uses DDR1, you can use DDR333 (2700) or DDR400 (3200) but NOT DDR2. It looks like overclockers only sell DDR2 not DDR1 laptop memory. Sadly you cannot use DDR2 in DDR1 memory slots.

The link below will show you on the crucial website what memory is compatible with your laptop. Overclockers do sell cruicial memory as well, it's good stuff and if you use the crucial site you can find the right memory for almost every motherboard/laptop you could wish for.

Don't forget to check to see if you laptop has 1x 512mb or 2x 256mb memory installed, if you have 2 x256mb you will need to change both to upgrade from 512mb to 1GB.

If thats the case it may be better to buy a 1gb memory stick but that would cost you £56.39! One option would be to add 512mb at a cost of £24.66 to give you 768MB, it just depends how much you want 1GB of memory.

If you scroll down the page on the crucial website they can scan your system to let you know what memory you have installed so you don't need to take off the memory cover.
