Hi.
Since buying components and building my computer a few years ago I have lost track a bit with the latest technology.
I am trying to increase the RAM on my Asus Maximus VI Formula motherboard from 8GB (2*4GB DDR3) to at least 16GB, preferably 32GB, for Flight Simulator 2020. The board supports 4 slots up to 32GB DDR 3000, and I have found the following on Amazon for 115€:
Komputerbay 32Go (4x 8Go)
PC3-10600 DDR3 1333 10666 1333
DRAM DIMM 240 pin dual channel 9-9-9-25
The actual published supported memory for the motherboard is:
4 x DIMM, max. 32GB, DDR3 3000(O.C.) / 2933(O.C.) / 2800(O.C.)
/ 2666(O.C.) / 2600(O.C.) / 2500 (O.C.) / 2400 (O.C.) / 2200(O.C.)
/ 2133(O.C.) / 2000(O.C.) / 1866(O.C.) / 1800(O.C.) / 1600 / 1333
MHz, non-ECC, un-buffered memory
Supports Intel® Extreme Memory Profile (XMP)
Can anyone tell me if these are compatible and worth considering or maybe someone has a worthy and affordable alternative solution ?
Thanks,
