What CPU?

If you always run memory at stock then PC2-6400 gets you 400 FSB and PC2-8500, 533 FSB.

With a 9x multi CPU (Q6600), you get up to 3.6 Ghz (400 x 9) which would be plenty, with E8000 series CPUs you may want more.

I'm getting an E8500, so the OCZ won't be sufficient? because it's a good price.

At stock the OCZ Ram would give you up to 3800 Mhz with an E8500 (9.5 x 400). I have no idea how far the OCZ would overclock.
