So which 16gb to compliment the mobo and i7 4770k. I guess 2x 8gb is better than 4x 4gb

any vengeance pro ram would be great in your system and I'd much prefer 2 X 8Gb than 4 X 4Gb sticks but please don't ask me why as I can't remember but do remember reading somewhere that it is better to just have two sticks. lol.

Depends on IMC and timings. 2 x 8gb always offers you the choice of upgrading later though to 32gb if you decide you need it.
