Ordering my new rig today but with the amazing offers from gibbo i have bamboozled myself.
I was originally going for the Geil ULL RAM but with the prices of the OCZ and Corsair 2GB and 4GB kits i dont know which ones to get. This is going to be put in with P5k-E, Q6600 (hopefully to 3.6) and a 8800 GT/GTS/GTX.
So heres the Choice:
- GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (x2)
- Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2-6400C4 TwinX (2x1GB) (x2)
- OCZ 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 XTC Series DDR2 (x2)
or some of the 4GB kits such as:
- Corsair 4GB DDR2 XMS2 PC2-6400C5 TwinX (2x2GB)
- OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2
With the higer latency of the 4GB and the lower potential clocking, i was thinking the XMS2 2GB kit, but i havent really looked into the cloking ability of these if i need to use an 8* multi on the Q6600.
