I have decided I will stagger the purchase of parts over the coming months and I look towards moving from an E6300 to a Sandy Bridge CPU.

I know there are no solid answers right now as we need to wait.

BUT

What memory should I buy right now now for it? :p

Cheers :)

from what i read when i looked into moving to sandbridge the memory aspect hasnt changed so its between your usual ddr3 1333mhz/1600mhz/2000mhz.

The sandy bridge is running at 100FSB as far as i'm aware. That means the only way to hit the required speeds of any of these ram modules is through dividers. Simply put, none of them will bottleneck a sandy bridge. Also ram speed and latancey shows no noticeable difference in gaming anyway.

You will need dual channel and not triple channel memory.

Are they not doing tri-channel mobos for sandy bridge? I was hoping to get 3x2gb. Damn.
