I'm currently looking at the server hardware for a new SBS 2008 R2 installation (about 15 users).

At the moment I can't decide whether to play-it-safe and have 16GB of memory, or to risk it and go with 12GB.

Anyone out there with hands-on-experience?

Thanks for the input.

The reference to R2 was just because I'm so used to typing it in relation to SBS 2003.

My home server is running SBS 2008 on 8GB and just about works acceptably. I initially tried it with 4GB and it was unusable.

I’m going to play it safe and spec the server for 16GB with room to easily add more.
