Memory Frequency

is there much noticable difference in DDR2 533MHz and DDR2 800MHz as i want a system that can run any game but i dont want to spend too much on memory

There is no noticeable difference, I think - on a stock C2D system RAM will default to DDR2 533 anyway. however the price difference is so little it is worth going for DDR2 800 modules.

GeiL 2GB for £99.86 it is then, i might get 2 and have 4GB, and im looking at the AMD X2 4600+ to go with it

If it's a X2 your using then it is recommended by AMD that you use DDR2 800 anyway. Are you looking to upgrade to AM2?

im currently using a Skt 754 AMD 3000+ and im in the process of upgrading to a Dual-core AMD and i dont plan on overclocking
