Built a system about a month ago consisting of

E4300 CPU
ECS NF650iSLIT-A (wish I'd gone for something else)
2Gb Corsair VS ram
8600GT
Great Power 550W PSU
Deskstar 7K250 HD

Had problems right from day one with intermittent booting, memory checked out fine with Memtest and then after a week one stick died. Replaced it with no frills Crucial PC5300 and had no more problems for a couple of weeks.. then today again a stick dies.

Does it seem too much of a coincidence that two sticks from different makers that appeared fine in Memtest and Orthos suddenly stop working? I'm starting to wonder if it's something like a voltage spike that's frying them? (as they both went straight from error free to dead.. I thought RAM generally failed gradually)
