Im building a new C2D system,
specs
main components will be
e6750
gigabyte p35 mboard
2gb ram
8800 gts

Im a bit confused with memory, should i go with fastest but cheaper quality i.e. OCUK value memory (PC2-8500C5)

or do i take the route with a recognised supplier but slower (PC6400C4)i.e.

no plans with overclocking but i might tinker a little at some point ;)

Go with this. You won't be disappointed, it's probably the best RAM around at the moment.

thanks, but did you read my original post?
im considering the options of 2gb Vs 4gb (but slower type of memory).

will be running 32vista.
Ok, sorry if this sounds stupid, but im not clear on this, why is slower memory being recommended? i.e. 5300 over 6400/8500. I have no plans in overclocking.

thansk for that, but what im getting at is, if i have no plans for overclocking...Does it matter if i get OCUK memory or something like the crucial ballistix offering?
