Soon I have decided to go Windows Vista 64bit, I currently running a commando m/b with a DUO E6700 (may also go quad) plus OCZ 2GB PC2-6400 Dual Channel Platinum Revision 2 the question is this, I would like to upgrade to 4mb of memory, but do I buy 2 more of the OCZ and run the four banks, or would it be beneficial to go say PC8000 or better and just get 2 x 2gb modules.
Any help would be appreciated.

The P965 boards are pretty good with 4 sticks.

Tho 4 sticks will probably lower your max memory overclock a little, you shouldn't have any issues with an E6700 and it's x10 multiplier.

I have my extra 2gb form OcUK, but my bios only sees 3880mb, so when I go to a 64bit operating system does this mean that’s all that will see as well, for the time being in XP Pro I have added the /3gb switch to the boot.ini

You should see 4gb in BIOS. Is there a memory remapping option to be adjusted?

Yes I discovered this the other night, and indeed does solve the bios seeing the memory but I believe from looking on the Asus forum that you should not use this unless you have installed a 64bit operating system installed.
