memory help please

hey

Ive just recently got a new system and my ram is 1600 but showing as 533 in cpuz which is 1066, i though my rampage 3 would auto detect this? so ive just went into the bios and changed to 1600 and not changed any voltage settings or anything. is this what i should be doing? or is there another way

You have done the right thing but not sure you should have increased the voltage. 1600 (800MHz) is outside the JEDEC specification I believe. The 1600 (800MHz) SPD setting should be enabled via XPM.

Can you post the memory tab of CPU-Z?

You might also want to check the timings - you should be able to set them via a profile if you're not confident doing it manually. Also check the voltage on the ram manufacturer's site - it's probably getting 1.5v by default, but may need more juice.
