Memory help please

Hi

I am going for an I7 3770 and a Gigabyte Z77-D3H I want or hope to OC the CPU to 4.5ghz.

Im looking at memory and need some advice. Ideally the 1600Mhz, either 2x8GB or 4x8GB. I would like something that is fast and will support my overclock. There are so many types there that I am getting lost and I don't really understand the timing values. What is better, lower or higher numbers in timings?

Any suggestions?

Lower numbers are good for timings!

You can't overclock a 3770, you need a 3770k as that has an unlocked multiplier.

Overclocking is all multiplier based now so you don't actually need fancy memory any more. Any 1600 kit will be fine. If you want to play with memory overclocking then Samsung green is the stuff to go for.
