memory help

hi all .
im running a q6600 with wndows 7 64 bit , ive got 2 x corsair 2 gig and 2 x ocz 2 gig , if have all 4 sticks in it crashes , if i take out 1 stick it runs as it should , all 4 sticks are ddr 2 6400

any help please , by the way im new to overclockng so be gentle forgot to mention i have an asus p5q pro board

Have you tested each stick individually for any errors with mem-test.

Also check the memory voltage, should be a sticker on each module stating voltage and increase the MCH (northbridge) voltage a notch or two.

my motherboard is locked i cant alter any of the settings . any help

Can you list your system specifications? It's difficult if not impossible to assist without them.

My first guess is that you need a slight bump on your memory controller voltage. Try 1-3 steps above the stock setting.

i would love to but when i gp into the bios , all the settings are locked i cant alter them . they are all on auto ,

Did you change the setting under the ADVANCED tab that allows you to manually set the BIOS settings?
