memory help

Hi guys, finding ive been getting a lot of slow down in GTA4 after a certain amount of time which i think could be memory.

currently i have 2gb geil 6400 ddr2-800. now i cant seem to find any of this cheap memory on ocuk, but there is the Corsair XMS2 2GB (1x2GB) DDR2 PC2-6400.

my question is can i use these 2 together in my system? specs are below.

Hi shipinabottle, The RAM you have now is 2x1GB or 1x2GB?

It shouldn't cause any problems, if you run in single channel mode.

It's best not to mix RAM, your just going to waste money, they both may have different memory chips and they may probably conflict with eachother and throw up a bunch of errors.
