im about to get a msi z87m gaming M/Board can someone help me on what memory to get, im looking at 2x4gb 2133mhz with view to adding another 2 sticks in the future, thanks:)

If it is just for gaming, than no need to get 16gb till you see the 8gb start to fill up.

Haswell seems to gain minimums from nice memory, so would be looking at these:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Avexir Blitz 1.1 Original 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C9 2133MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U21330904G-2BZ1) £85.99
1 x Avexir Core Red Series 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17200C9 2133MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit (AVD3U21330904G-2CIR) - Red Light £79.99
Total : £175.58 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Can save a bit of cash by dropping to looser timings but i would feel better paying the extra 10-15 and getting these.

thamks all for advice i will be using photoshop aswell but nothing heavy just a little bit of editing

the avexir look good:)

Nice, if you go for the new Avexir Blitz, post pictures up!

Have yet to see what the white glow on these look like outside of product pictures. A real life shot of that white 'tron' like glow would be sweet.

will these be compatible with the board though.

If it doesn't load the correct timings and speed off the bat, you might have to set them manually in the bios. Apart from that, i see no reason for the board to dislike them.

its only as ive heard people having problems getting it to post and heat spreaders coming off , but will give them a try.

If the memory and board are without faults, then it will definitely post. Plenty of people on this forum using MSI gaming series z87 board's with avexir memory. Also they have been getting spec'd together a lot recently, i imagine the Blitz and the core red feature almost the exact same memory modules under the heatsink. The price difference is for the flashiness of the heatsink.
