Hi all,
I did a quick search for this, but I can't find anything. Does anyone know if there is a problem with supporting large amounts of RAM or using all 4 RAM slots on the Asus P5ND2 mobo?
I just upgraded to 4GB RAM (from 2GB) and the machine becomes incredibly unstable. I can use either set of RAM (my old pair or the new pair) and the machine is fine, but when all 4 modules are installed the machine has random service failures in windows. No apparent reason as to which service fails, just random crashes (and occasional BSODS)
The RAM is all Corsair XMS2, although I am not 100% sure if the memory timings on the chips are identical. BIOS is set to "auto" on timings, so I expected it would simply run all modules at the same rate (ie. at which ever was the slower rate)
Anyone got any ideas as to what might be causing the issue?
