I'm taking a look at a friend's laptop and I'd like some clarification if someone is willing.
Basically, the computer won't boot, in safe mode or normally. As soon as you press return on 'Start Windows normally' it freezes, and it's after a few lines of text when you try 'Safe mode'. I was just going to format until something in the BIOS caught my eye. Now please forgive me if I'm being an idiot, but to me, this doesn't sound right:
System Memory: 640 KB
Extended Memory: 1038336 KB
Am I missing something here or could this be the problem?
