Memory issue?

I have an old tablet. It has 2gb memory. Samsung tab A 10" (2016)

Every 20mins or so, the internet pages slow to a stop and i have to go into the settings and clear the memory as it drops down to around 400mb available. Once i clear that and the memory available goes up to around 900mb the internet is fine for a short while.

Is it because i dont have enough memory?

The only thing that is showing as a memory guzzler is Samsung internet. All other apps are using small amounts of memory. Plus, i dont have many apps on the tablet.

Is it time for a new tablet with more memory?

try using an alternative browser such as Firefox or Chrome

Same thing keeps happening with other browser. On my gmail too it happens.

Perform a factory reset of the device and retest. If it's the same it sounds borked because 2gb of memory should be fine for what you're doing.

Its a constant pain to keep clearing the memory.

2gb not enough i think. After memory used for the system only left with approx 800mb.

Soon as i go on internet it drops to around 400 - 500mb available. Thats when it slows down then. I got to keep clearing up ram.

Think a new tablet with a lot more ram needed.

6gb model would be good but, dont want to spend much....
