memory issues with rog v extream

Hi guy's could do with some help with ram!
i have fitted 16 gb ram but bios is only seing 12
its saying three slot's occupied ,but when i try 2 slots in there bios see's the
ram :confused:

all the ram seem ok so hope its not that its lpx 3200
so will run duel but not quad,only triple which cpuz reports
have upto date bios have reseated cpu etc,not sure what it is
any ideas or rma

Have found the problem dead dim slot hopeing i can rma as i had fitted waterblocks to board

Whats your ram may i ask? because i had the same problem with a particular set of ram. try running your ram at 2666mhz frequency did it fix it?

Before RMA'ing the board, revert to optimised defaults and see if the issue persists. Dropping a dimm can be due to instability, either DRAM or VCCSA.

If not, can you remove the CPU whilst checking the socket for bent pints, and then reseat with even mounting pressure. Also check that screws surrounding the DIMM slots are not over-tightened.
