My spec:

AMD X2 4400+
ASUS ABR32-MVP Deluxe
Corsair XMS Xpert (2x512)
X1900XT-X
36GB RAPTOR x 2 (RAID Striping)

all this running on Windows XP Pro (64bit)

but I have huge HDD utilazation(caching) during gaming, and I can say in windows even.
I know I should have 2GB of ram, but I used to have this ram sticks and a single raptor on my old (ancient) spec without so intensive disk caching. Any ideas?

On the other hand I DO need to get 2GB cause atm is what causes my performance to be limited. The question is if I should add 2 more 512 sticks or replace it with 2x1GB sticks (and allow future upgrade to 4GB), but I havent got much time to read into dual cores. I know each core is supposed to use its own stack on each dimm. I see corsair cas2 as an option or maybe OCZ platinum (both on 3200 since I got AMD). Any ideas?

thanks.

aye, I definatly run everything full detail with my new spec (1280x1024 on 19" since is native) and I made the same thought. Seems I am getting 2x1GB for the 2 free slots and 2-3% performance boost. Whats the best RAM out there atm in 2x1gb sticks? Also you think I should go with 3200, 3500, 4000?

So far I found this attractive,
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Series EL-DDR CAS2 (OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K) (MY-057-OC)

OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Series EL-DDR CAS2 (OCZ4002048ELDCPE-K) (MY-057-OC)

Got a 4400+ X2 and asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe. cpu stock atm but a bit worried with 3200s in case i need to run them over 200Mhz+. Although timings seem very good how about max clock?
