Hi there,
I was hoping that maby someone out there could help me.

I have built a new rig and overclocked it. Everything is going fine, passed prime and also intel burn test on the highest setting.
I do not have an additional graphics card, i am just running the intel hd 4000.

At first when gaming i kept on getting the BSOD, first it was error 1a and then i had an error 24. I have looked into it, and it seems it is a RAM problem.
I ran a memory test and it passed it not problem, i had a look around and thought it might be to do with the DRAM voltage and the VTT. I have adjusted these, and after a week or so i have had no more BSOD.
I do not know what is going on now, it seems that after an hr of gaming, the game crashes and i get a display error.
I have changed the processing time and also the time out detection. It now just freezes and wont go back to the desktop.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem may be??
its starting to drive me crazy!!!
i am going to pick up a 7950 in a couple of weeks, do you think that this might help?
also does anyone know how to set the timeout and processing time back to default?

Many thanks, any help would be amazing

A proper card will help. You may need to increase the vccsa which is the memory control I have had do this on my rig as I get intermittent cold boot errors. I am also running my ram at 1.65v

Both 1a and 024 suggest VTT/memory problems. I would look at mem test first then adjusting VTT. Which board are you using??

Giga look at VTT and IMC also.
ASUS VCCIO and VCCSA

hay,
thanks for the reply,
have the asrock extreme4, with 2x4gb corsair vengeance RAM. I clicked the xmp file, but had to change it from 1333 to 1600. the ram voltages were set to auto, after getting a blue screen while gaming i changed it I had the dram at 1.65 and vtt at 1.253. I thought everything was fine,, i have just tryed to run the windows system analysis, as it said it had detected new hardware,, i ran into my fist BSOD in about a week bs =101,
I booted up again and have just run prime, it blue screend in about 10 secs. I have just returned the system to a stable oc that i had set,, my worry now is that i will have more ram issues.
I run the window memory diagnosis tool, everything is fine.
starting to get a bit stressed with it all.

yo,
just wanted to say that this forum is amazing,
thank you so much for taking the time to help, it makes a big difference.

I have returned everything to stock,
except the RAM i have loaded the xmp profile and changed the speed from 1333 to 1600,
i am going to play some left for dead, and see how i get on.
I will not bother with the OC untill i get my card.
il let you guys know how it goes with everything set as it is.

thanks again
