I'm looking to throw some new memory and a replacement GPU into my 2 year old rig, but only have around £230. My first thought was around £80 for the RAM and £150 for the GPU, but whatever is necessary really, just as long as I get bang for my buck!

Any recommendations?
Thanks.

What is the rest of the spec?

Need to check the RAM is compatible and fits and ditto for the gfx card.

Over budget, but two great deals:

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £209.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX24C11T3K2/8X) £45.95
Total : £255.94 (includes shipping : ).

Slightly less over budget alternative:

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI Radeon R9 280 Gaming 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £191.99
1 x Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX24C11T3K2/8X) £45.95
Total : £237.94 (includes shipping : ).

Make sure the RAM will fit, obviously.

Dont think it is as people who are not mining are getting it.

They not having much luck with cards lately.
