Memory Missing

Have a pc with 4gb of ram but its only showing as 3.5gb, ive tried alternative ram modules to no success

motherboard is : GA-K8NSC nforce 3 250gb motherboard
memory is ocuk value pc3200 2gb x2

any ideas what the prob could be

i know of the 32b bit memory limit.....however im saying it can only show 3.5gb in the bios... reconises it as

3.5gb or 36700000 or something
