Will a mobo such as the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R play nice with memory marked as PC3-12800+ (DDR3-1600+)?

Motherboards listed with PC3-12800+ are a lot more expensive than their older counterparts without that tag. Do I need to worry? I want to build an i7 system (memory, mobo, cpu, psu & graphics card) for under £800. Any suggestions?

Why not go to the manufactures own website, and check the specifics of the motherboard, ASUS do a QVL for ram compatible with their mobos and you'd be wise to heed it, as they can suck on stuff thats isn't on the list. Others are the same. State the specifics of your ram and the mobo, and chekc the manufactures website.
