I was ideally looking to spend no more than £170 on 2Gb of RAM. I am getting a E6300, DS3 motherboard, Enermax 480 PSU, Seagate 250Gb Sata HDD.....

Can someone solve my problem as to what memory to get???

I nearly went for Geil 6400 but have heard some issues with it...looked at Crucial 10th Anniversary but thats £199!!! Please advise.

unfortunately....if you're going to overclock your new 6300....plenty of people will tell you the crucial kit is the way to go.

either that or the team extreme

If your serious about overclocking I highly reccomend you look to spending around £200 as you will get far better RAM for overclocking in this price range.

If you want to overclock with an E6300 and DS3 combination, you need very good RAM. The OcUK PC6400 Value RAM will get you to 2.8GHz, pretty much guaranteed. The RAM will definitely run at that speed, and so will almost all E6300's. If that's all you want, then that will do. If you want over 400FSB then you need better RAM or a processor with a higher multiplier. Have a look at the E4300 which has a 9x multiplier. This is cheaper than an E6300 and should clock similarly. The £20 saved could be put towards some Crucial Anniversary RAM?
