Pardon my ignorance..im building my 1st pc right now and i cant seem to fit my Geil Ultra DDR2 2.0GB PC6400 into the slots in my Gigabyte motherboard GA-P35C-DS3R..im sure this memory is compatible with the motherboard??..what am i doing wrong???:(..thanks

First thing, check to make sure the white clips are 'back'. Then check the orientation of the RAM, it will only be able to go in one way as there is a notch on the RAM that is set just off centre that matches up with the RAM slot.

If these are both fine then it should go in, sometimes needs a bit of force to go in, best bet is to put it in when the motherboard is out the case to prevent it bending.

Hope this helps.

Good spot, yes it is DDR2 and DDR3 compatible. The DDR 3 slots look to be the green ones, so dont use those, just the red or yellow ones.
