memory not going at rated speds

ok i just got some new crucial ballistix ram (512x2) ddr500
at the moment its running at
177mhz timings 2.5, 3, 3, 6

my specs are amd 3700+ sandy @ 3.0ghz
asus a8n-sli
6600 geforce

i tried to turn the divider up to 1:1 (400 for bios) but the mother board just doesnt like it so i went to 1:2 i think well its 333 in bios and it still doesnt like it
it only likes it when i set it to auto
how can i get this ram to rated speeds

What's your vdimm set to?

its fixed now i have no idea but the nforce 4 chipset was going crazy and was changing the bios to anything so i left it overnight turned it on a haypresto going to rated speeds
