My brother has this motherboard (with latest BIOS) -

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-293-AS

and bought some of this memory -

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-149-OC&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=817

Plugged it in, loaded it up and ran CPU-z. It tell him the memory is running at 800Mhz, and not the full whack it should be. So we go into the BIOS, set the DRAM frequency to DDR 1066MHz and boot the computer. The computer then restarts straight after the "Loading Windows" bit comes up with the loading bar. Next time we boot it asks to load in safe mode etc.

Im not really that familiar with meddling with RAM stuff, i usually just chuck it in and it works. Anyone have any idea whats happening ? Here is his CPUz on Memory & SPD -

You may need to up the voltage, looking at the Ocuk page the RAM requires 2.1v, also there should be a sticker on each module showing recommended voltage.

Exactly, it says on ocuk's website what voltage's needed. It also says what timings you must set in bios. If you set all properly it should work.

I had this, turned up the voltage to 2.1V and upped the frequency to 1066 MHz and now I'm getting constant bsods!! I can assure you I'm never getting ocz ram again!

Did you set timings as they should be?If not,do it.If you did then try to set voltage a bit higher. It may also be a problem with Asus and Ocz together. I heard that they don't like eachother.

Timings are correct. I had heard about the problems, but my mate who persuaded me to get a new rig had been on the ocz asus partnership through several builds, so I assumed it'd be ok. :(

I have no clue, my mate bought Pk5pro and some Ocz memory and when he put it all together it didn't work. After trying to make stuff work, motherboard broke breaking memory as well.

Probably you could, especially when it just doesn't work with your motherboard. That's not your fault at all. I would try to contact ocuk and ask.
