Hi all.

to start with ill give u my specs:

i7 6700k Skylake
Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 5
16Gb Kingston Hyper X Fury DDR4 2666MHz C15
Radeon R9 390X
750W PSU

I can get my memory to 3000MHz (16-18-18-38) on 1.350v and at 3200MHz (17-20-20-40) on 1.40v. Both will pass all intensive benchmaks and stress tests. I played on battlefield 4 last night for 4 hours on both overlocks perfectly fine.

It's when my PC has been off for a while it wont boot first time (cold boot). It's like the PC needs to warm up first to boot the overclocked settings. Is there anyway to fix this cold boot issue? Does anyone have the ram and mobo I have to give me some pointers? Thanks.

EDIT: Someone told me to try and increase the memory controller voltage but in the advanced voltage settings in the BIOS I can't find anything to do with it. Would it be the chipset voltage?

On z97 boards, the memory controller voltage is listed as system agent voltage normally, I presume z170 would be the same.

Chipset voltage is a different thing.

Yeah I found the 'System Agent' voltage before. I've never changed this, what are safe voltages for this setting?
