Hi, well I've been overclocking my ram, now I dunno which is better.

800Mhz: 3-3-3-8
1000Mhz: 4-4-4-15

Which OC would be best, now I think at 800Mhz 3-3-3-8 my ram would be more stable, but is it faster than the 1000Mhz overclock? I have the ram at 2.35V.

I know what boost's CPU and GPU overclock have, but exactly whats the difference with a ram overclock?

Will overclocking my ram make much difference at all when my CPU is at 3.2Ghz? (E6600)

Thanks
Willz.

From my knowledge, the one that gives better memory performance. Use Sandra XI to test memory bandwith to compare

when did you buy it? was it very recent? Im probly going to get this but then i hear rumours that the chips were changed. Im told that they havn't but i still worry im going to spend 130 quid on 4gb of ram that wont overclock like it should and be dissapointed.

I got it around 20th june, mine does not overclock anywere near as good as other peoples, still at 2.35V, 1000Mhz, 4-4-4-15, can it really be that bad?

was joking :P

SOunds good. Lets just hope i get a D9 chip :) Though i beleive its now being pushed back to november... so they may have changed over by then.eak! lol

Maybe i should buy it now. Because prices are cheap.

I dunno, DDR3 memory will be coming soon properly.

I had to put the timing back to 5-5-5-15 now, I got a Bsod and I think it was coz of the ram, aint sure tho.
