hmm...started getting iexplore.exe error messages recently. Stuff like:
The instruction at "0x0129cd11" referenced memory at "0x0129cd11".
The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program
Quite often it happens when I close a web page, sometimes I get a different message (you know the one where windoze wants to send an error report to microsoft) and the pages I'm currently viewing are shut down automatically. Occasionally web pages just close on their own with no error message whatsoever.
I have also started experiencing some slow down where folders or applications take way to long to open, or copy & paste does nothing for ages and then suddenly completes.
Not running anything new or different in the background. Currently in system tray: Peerguardian2, Quicktime, MBM5, Nvidia control panel thingy, AVG, Netlimiter, Zone Alarm, I Hate This Key, RivaTuner.
I thought it might have been my overclock not being as stable as I'd thought so I dropped it back to stock for a while but it's not made any difference and I'm still getting the errors.
Does this sound like dodgy ram or a borked operating system? Or both maybe? I'm planning to test each stick later this week but I really cba to do a reformat/reinstall if I can help it. It's a relatively new install of XP pro ~ 4 months old.
