Hi
I am pretty new to overclocking-last month I succeeded in overclocking my E4500 up to 2.8ghz at stock volts (rest of spec in sig, now upgraded to 3gb RAM). However, soon after one of my sticks of RAM corrupted. I have no idea if this was to do with the OC or not, but I am obviously now a bit cautious. I was running it within its specified voltage (at 2.1v) so it doesnt seem like it was my fault, but still...

Pretty much, can someone guide me on OCing memory? I am pretty happy with the techniques for CPU overclocking, but need more understanding of things like memory timings. Cheers.

260x11 yea-actually 2.86 ghz, but I didnt feel that the extra 60mhz was worth boasting about!

With memory timings, firstly what do they mean? Secondly, are they more or less important than the speed of the RAM? How do you go about changing them? Is it just trial and error?
