Memory placement

i just looked on another post and it seems that my memory is in the wrong place, i have a P5Q Pro and ive put my memory in 1 black and one yellow slot, but it still works?

yer will do as soon as i get home, on another note, is it worth having 8GB of ram over 4?

as the corsair 4gb is cheap i might as well get it if it makes noticeable difference
