Memory Price Increase (Mostly DDR3)

Just to let you know that there is currently a fair sized increase in the price of DDR3 in the space of a month 6gb packs of Corsair 1600Mhz has gone up by £19 trade

MY corsair 1333 cl6 was only £47 when i got it, was was shocked at how good the price was.

Wow that's a hefty increase :-S This has happened before though iirc, what causes it?

Fluctuation in doller/£ price conversion, and supply and demand, low stock=higher price, hence why the 4770 is so expensive.

I knew this would happen especially with the imminent release of i5 core / P55 Chipset.

Also were soon to be approaching Christmas i.e. supply on demand.

yeah the price was driven down as it was one of the major contributing factors of why a lot of people have not gone for i7. i5 only uses dual channel but the price will still rise.

Got me a very good deal on the new Corsair Dom GT 2000 save me £60 odd,you just have to look around to save the pennys these days tbh.

I've noticed the stock levels of low latency tri-channel isn't great across a lot of stores.

Supply may be winding down with the imminent release of P55. Manufacturers are probably gearing up for higher demand on dual channel DDR3.
