I'm starting a new build in early June and am planning to buy all the components around then - however, I am starting to wonder whether I should purchase the RAM now given that memory prices seem to be on the rise with considerable speed.

I shall be probably be purchasing this RAM, TeamGroup Xtreem 16GB Quad Channel, can anybody make a fair prediction as to what the price of this will be by late May/early June?

Cheers.

I can't predict but gibbo said memory prices were rising that much that ocuk can't put any on a weekly deal, indicating prices are going to rise by the day. I would buy the next chance you get.

Indeed, I saw that post too - which made me wonder whether I should get the RAM now. I guess it would be logical to, but one cannot know whether the price crash will happen by the time I planned to buy it anyway.

Given that DDR4 production is likely to start by the years end, I would, Look at DDR2 prices at the moment...

That said bargains can still be had, I even saw some 16GB 2400mhz quad kits for under £90 while memory hunting this week :)
