Aye, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz kits only £44 on This Week Only, come next Wednesday that is going up by at least £10 !!
Just impulse bought that 8GB corsair vengence kit, thought you can't really go wrong for that price.
Couldn't resist the corsair offer either - now just need a CPU / MB / Cooler! I was ever so close to getting the 2500k on offer too
I will have to think of some plausible reasons why I MUST upgrade the computer, otherwise I will have some disapproving looks from the wife when I click 'buy'![]()
Talking about the Corsair RAM on T.W.O...
Corsair Vengeance Blue 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual/Quad Channel Kit (CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B) - £95.99
vs
Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B) - £43.99
Am I missing something here? (Buy 2, get 2 more at a worse price?) - just need to decide whether to get 4x4Gb or 6x6Gb...
I currently have 4GB RAM mainly for gaming http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-203-CS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517
But having seen the cheap price i was thinking of getting 8GB.
Looking at some i was wondering what is the difference between :

and

I admit im a noob at memory and i dont OC it, but i just cant see any difference other than the naming.
The Vengence model has the large heat spreader compared to the low-profile XMS3, so if you have a huge CPU cooler then that may cause issues in getting to fit underneath it.
