memory prices!!

just had a look now at some RAM (2gb ddr2) to buy and was :eek:

at the prices

the g.skill 6400 hz i have costs £240 now :eek:

, i paid £170 for it before :eek:

what happened to the price of RAM :confused:

Just the usual -- it goes up and down depending on the time of the year and various other factors.

With Vista around the corner, the price will most likely keep rising as demand goes up.

I bought 4GB of the Geil PC800 DDR2 memory for the grand price of £218+vat when it was on special at the OcUK shop.
With the prices today you can guess how wide my smile is - I've got memory a plenty for Vista and it cost me less than half as much RAM can cost now...

i had to buy a 1gb kit cos the prices were too steep for the 2gb kits

theres a massive demand for dram chips at the moment
