Memory prices :(

Hi all any idea IF/when memory pricing will go down, was looking at getting another 8GB kit, The same kit cost me around £35 in Dec'12/Jan'13 but now its priced at £65 ish

Any info appreciated! knew I should have bought 16gb

Well im not sure if when DDR4 comes out end of the year DDR3 prices will drop a bit on the lead up to it.....Or if production is slowed to increase capacity of DDR4 prices may even go up.

TBH do you actually need 16gig? in most situations 8gig is enough.

Yeah I noticed price was sky high. Last year I got 2 x 8gb ripjaws ram last year for 71 bucks now that would only get you 1 x 8gb if yout lucky

Havent they been increasing for a while now, although the prices were really low at one point so they could only go one way.

I paid £179.99 for my team group 16GB 2400Mhz rams, I should have got cheaper ones instead, these extra MHz is abit of a rip off.

I just saw the same ones for £119.99 now on the overclockers website, dammm I only got my rams last month, feeling the pain

Just like the Hard Drive price increases, one fire at one factory is blamed for the RAM price increase.
