Hi all,
I have an FX60 running in a A8N SLI-premium which has been working fine now for several weeks which has just started playing up. Came to power on the computer, got 1 long beep and 2 short. Looked this up and it appeared to be "video card error". Didn't know if this was the graphics card (7900gtx) or a motherboard failure and had no way of checking. I have two sticks of Corsair XMS 3200 1GB ram, and just to check I took one of the sticks out. The system then booted perfectly(?). I've tried this one stick in both slots and each time the computer won't boot - the other stick works fine in both slots. Has anyone had this before, with memory causing a graphics card failure? or is the motherboard just confused? And does anyone know the RMA procedure with Corsair?
thanks in advance for any help,
mark
