Memory problem

Please can you help

ive just installed 4GB into my laptop , its only showing 3582 ?

I am running vista 32 :confused:

dont you need vista 64bit to recognise the full 4096mb of ram?

ive checked bios

Memory Installed 4096
Memory Available 4096

Does the video card take any memory , if not it must be Vista

oh wait, the integrated graphics may be taking upto 512MB, which would explain the missing amount, you may or should be able to change the amount given to the graphics in the bios.

Just check the properties on graphics card and graphics memory has gone to 1023MB
