Memory problem

Hi, I know this is my first post here, but the item in question was originally bought from here and some friends told me that you guys were really helpful.
Here's my problem :
I have 4GB of this product here = https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-082-OC

In an Asus P5N-E SLi motherboard, when I put the ram in, it won't even show the post screen. Fair enough I thought, it does say in the motherboard manual that it only supports up to 800mhz ram.
If it wasn't for the fact that I've googled the problem and seen that a load of other people are running this ram in that motherboard with no problems I'd have left it at that.
Anyone got any ideas on what I may be doing wrong? Any help would be mucho appreciated, thanks in advance.

try all different possible ways of installing the ram..
like 1 stick or using the other channels things like that if same problem might need to RMA them

I've tried that unfortunately, even gone as far as updating motherboard bios in the hope that later versions would support them.
Tried messing with voltages, timings and so on, doing my head in!
