Ok, little bit of help required from you knowlegable chaps before I ring support on Monday/ Tuesday.
Bit of background. Bought a pre-overclocked bundle from here back in October as part of a new build. Due to work and other commitments I never really got the opportunity to test it/ put it through its paces until the xmas/ new year period. But I had noticed the occasional BSOD crash. Anyways, during the xmas period I got chance to play a few games and the system appeared unstable, crashing randomly (BSOD) even sometimes whilst merely browsing a web page - not the most memory intensive. I ran a test using Evererst, but this would come up "hardware failure" after only a few seconds. My 1st thought was that 1 of the sticks of memory was causing problems, so I downloaded Memtest86 and booted from that. Testing all 6GB caused it to freeze 4 seconds into the 1st test. I then went into the bios and loaded the default values to see if it was merely the overclocked settings causing the failure, but again the test froze after 5 seconds this time.
I then removed each stick of ram and tested individually - all passed with no errors for 5 passes. However, as soon as I add a 2nd stick and run the test it restarts a few seconds into the test. With all 3 sticks in, it doesnt restart, but merely freezes.
My only conclusion to this is that the memory controller on the board is faulty, or something along those lines. Does that sound like a correct assumption?
The motherboard is a Gigabyte EX58-UD5 and the oveclocked bundle was the following at 4Ghz, but like I say has been tested at the default settings also:

Any tips, assistance much appreciated. Have resigned myself in having to take apart the system for a return, but just wondering if anything else I can try in mean time?
